Outbound AI calling API for lead qualification
For sales teams with a list and a script: leads go in by bulk upload, a campaign dials them over your own trunk, the agent asks the qualifying questions, and every call is a record with its status and transcript, linked to the lead by lead_id. Prepaid, per second. In the alpha a campaign does not queue behind the concurrent-call limit, so large lists run in batches sized to it.

How do you build an outbound lead-qualification agent with Wixzel Voice?
- 01POST /v1/leads/bulk
Upload the list with the fields the script needs.
- 02POST /v1/agents
Create the caller: the script, the qualifying questions, and the voice.
- 03POST /v1/campaigns
Attach the agent and the leads, then start it, or pause it to stop the batch and hang up calls in flight.
- 04Concurrency
A campaign places its calls in quick succession and does not queue them: each counts toward the account's concurrent-call limit, 5 by default, and a lead beyond it is recorded as a failed call. Run lists in batches no larger than the limit, or ask to raise it.
- 05GET /v1/calls
Every call with its status and transcript, filterable by campaign, and deletable when the data is no longer needed.
Which voice engine fits outbound lead qualification?
Use the classic engine on Wixzel Voice, at $0.0867 per connected minute. Short, scripted outbound calls are the cheapest workload; the classic engine keeps the per-minute cost lowest for English. Use sarvam for Indian-language lists.
What does outbound lead qualification cost on Wixzel Voice?
Wixzel Voice engine time for 2-minute calls on the classic engine, at typical speech rates, billed per second of actual usage. Telephony is your own trunk at your carrier’s rate and is not included, and shorter calls cost proportionally less.
| Calls per month | Connected minutes | Engine cost per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | 2,000 | $173 |
| 5,000 | 10,000 | $867 |
| 20,000 | 40,000 | $3,468 |
Prepaid: add credit from $5 and the calls spend it. Estimate your own mix.
Which guides show how to build an outbound lead-qualification agent on Wixzel Voice?
Upload leads, run campaigns with an agent you wrote over your own SIP trunk, and read every call's status and transcript, with the Wixzel Voice API in Node.js.
Four requests to a ringing phone, what a call record returns, and what a call costs.
Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, Vonage, Bandwidth, Exotel, Vobiz or any SIP provider: what to set at the carrier.
Frequently asked questions
- Can Wixzel Voice run outbound calling campaigns?
- Yes. Leads are uploaded in bulk, a campaign is created with an agent and a lead set, and starting it dials every lead in quick succession over your SIP trunk. In the alpha a campaign does not queue behind the account's concurrent-call limit, five by default: a lead beyond it is recorded as a failed call, so run large lists in batches sized to the limit. Pausing a campaign stops it and hangs up its calls in flight; starting a stopped campaign again dials every lead on it again, so continue with a new campaign made of the leads not yet reached.
- Is an outbound campaign compliant with calling regulations?
- That is your responsibility as the caller. The Acceptable Use Policy requires consent where the law requires it, honouring do-not-call rules, and disclosing that the caller is automated where required. Wixzel Voice provides the tooling, not the legal basis.
- How many calls can run at once?
- Five per account by default. The cap is raised on request; email the address on the contact page with the volume you expect.
- What does a campaign of 5,000 two-minute calls cost?
- About 867 dollars on the classic engine for the connected minutes, plus your carrier's rate for the trunk. Unanswered calls are not charged for engine time because the engine never starts.
What else do developers build on Wixzel Voice?
Build an agent that answers the phone, checks availability and books an appointment, over your own SIP trunk, with the booking written back through the API.
Answer a support number with an agent that reads from a knowledge base you upload, handles the common questions, and leaves a transcript of every call.
Run phone agents in Indian languages on models built for them, with the sarvam engine covering speech-to-text, the language model and text-to-speech end to end.
Put an agent in a browser page, a Flutter app or a kiosk with no SIP trunk and no phone number: your server mints a one-minute session, the app streams audio over a WebSocket, and the session is billed like a call.
Connect Claude Code, claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Cursor or any MCP client to your account, and let an AI agent connect a carrier, build a voice agent, place calls, run campaigns and read transcripts, with every tool that spends money asking first.
Operator, prices, limits, refunds and data location, on one page.
